The zinc salt of PCA. PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) Employed in the manufacture of polyvinylpyrrolidone. A high boiling solvent in petroleum processing. On the basis of available data, the CIR Expert Panel concludes that it is safe as used in cosmetic formulations but should not be used in products containing nitrosating agents.
